Sebring Eric van de Poele prenait part pour la premi\u00e8re fois \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9preuve des Spa Six Hours Endurance au volant d\u2019une Ford GT40, en compagnie d\u2019un certain Jim Farley, CEO de Ford ! Le d\u00e9but d\u2019une belle histoire\u2026 \u00ab En fait, venant de la comp\u00e9tition moderne, j\u2019\u00e9tais assez r\u00e9ticent \u00e0 l\u2019id\u00e9e de rouler avec des bolides du temps d\u2019avant, se souvient Eric. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9quipe MEC Auto, j\u2019ai pu tester une GT40, et j\u2019ai d\u2019embl\u00e9e \u00e9t\u00e9 conquis ! La participation avec Jim s\u2019est bien d\u00e9roul\u00e9e, et nous remettons le couvert chaque ann\u00e9e. Ce qui me ravit, car ce meeting Spa Six Hours est un pur ravissement ! Les bolides engag\u00e9s dans toutes les cat\u00e9gories sont incroyables, et on ne se lasse pas de faire le tour du paddock pour tenter de tout voir\u2026 \u00bb<\/p><p>Concernant ses ambitions \u00e0 l\u2019aube de l\u2019\u00e9dition 2022, van de Poele tient \u00e0 relativiser\u2026 \u00ab Le plateau est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement tr\u00e8s relev\u00e9, et cette ann\u00e9e, avec pr\u00e8s d\u2019une vingtaine de Ford GT40 au d\u00e9part, cela promet d\u2019\u00eatre encore plus disput\u00e9, sourit le pilote. Il n\u2019est un secret pour personne que les meilleurs Britanniques ne r\u00eavent que de victoire aux Spa Six Hours. Les \u00e9quipages sont tr\u00e8s forts, il y a beaucoup de monde en piste, et il n\u2019est pas \u00e9vident de trouver la bonne strat\u00e9gie, ni de claquer un temps pour tenter de d\u00e9crocher la pole position le vendredi soir. Mais je me r\u00e9jouis de retrouver le volant de notre Ford GT40 #98. L\u2019an dernier, nous avons fini l\u2019\u00e9preuve au 6\u00e8me rang, je pense qu\u2019un podium g\u00e9n\u00e9ral est jouable\u2026 \u00bb<\/p><p>Ce dont Eric van de Poele n\u2019a jamais manqu\u00e9 durant sa carri\u00e8re, c\u2019est de motivation.
